Under the presidentship of Late Sri T.RamaMurty, Ex.M.L.C. andEx.Chairman, Municipal council, Parvathipuram, Sri Venkateswara Degree College Committee was formed with a good altruistic intention to start a Degree College to cater to the educational needs of the youth in and around Parvathipuram. The local jute merchants, some business men and some other philonthropists donated liberally for the establishment of the college. The Government of Andhra Pradesh graciously acorded permission to start the college.
